Project Title: A Study on the Spatial Distribution of Employment and Income Categories in CMA

This is among a series of research efforts commissioned by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) towards its upcoming Master Plan.

We are working with the IIHS on the transport component of the project. The envisioned scope of work involves large-scale household sample surveys, to gather an understanding of the region’s economic geography.

Based on extensive quantitative analyses, stakeholder consultations, and policy scenarios, it is foreseen that a robust baseline assessment can be made on the spatial inter-relationships between locations of work, residence, and the resultant commute patterns
