About the Course

Beyond Urban has conducted two short-term certificate courses on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in collaboration with the Centre for Information Science & Technology (CIST), University of Mysore. The courses were designed to build practical, hands-on skills in spatial data analysis, mapping, and the use of open-source GIS tools, catering to students and professionals from planning and allied fields.

The engagement involved developing course content, delivering training sessions, and guiding participants through real-world applications of GIS, enabling them to better understand and apply spatial analysis in urban and infrastructure contexts.
