Project Title: Developing a toolkit for employer-based commute programs

Client: Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT), Govt. of Karnataka

    Work Scope

Selected through an application process under the aegis of DULT’s annual research program ASPIRE, our work here entails working ground-up starting from developing a research proposal. On selection, we have been tasked with undertaking with preparing a toolkit for employers and decision makers pertaining to workplace-drive management of employee travel demand. Here we are working with DULT across multiple stages in the project lifecycle, gathering data through primary surveys mainly. Aside from quantitative data collection through surveys, the work also involves stakeholder interactions. Detailed, disaggregate analysis is likely to provide an understanding of employees’ travel behaviour and preferences. Through stakeholder consultations, an understanding of the practical & political feasibility of the solutions is sought. The end outcome is very likely a reference document that employers of different types and sizes can use to manage their employees’ demand for commuting.
