Project Title:Accelerating Private Sector Participation in Municipal Wastewater Methane Capture

Beyond Urban is supporting UIL on a research and advisory assignment focused on wastewater management, methane capture, and private sector participation. The scope includes structured desk research on policy and regulatory frameworks, primary and secondary data collection, and analysis of wastewater systems, methane generation, and financing models. Stakeholder mapping and consultations with private operators, utilities, technology providers, and financiers are being undertaken using standardised tools to capture market insights, risks, and operational realities.

The engagement involves synthesising policy, market, and stakeholder insights to assess the private sector landscape and identify viable business and partnership models. Outputs include concise analytical reports, data-driven summaries, and presentations outlining key opportunities, constraints, financing pathways, and recommendations for scaling private sector participation in methane capture.
